I find Heartiste’s take on the affair interesting. I disagree with him, of course; men shouldn’t have a free pass on affairs just because their wives are ugly, but there is a lot of truth in what he says which is saddening.
Totally agree… No pass, but it does explain how such a thing could happen. Good reminder to not let myself end up looking like some of the other women in my family who haven’t exactly led healthy lives (bless their hearts).
